July 2024 Power Rankings - WISSOTA Pure Stocks

We break down the results of the first month of racing at Lake of the Woods Speedway in the Power Rankings.

1st - Michael Copp (Unchanged) - Oakbank, MB

It doesn't really come as a surprise that Michael is at the top. After stealing a win on the last lap of week one and with cautions allowing him to claim week two, he continues to show dominance at the track.

2nd - Bryson McDonald- (Unchanged) - Kenora, ON

Bryson is on the doorstep to winning, but mistakes throughout the race is shutting out his chances. He'll need to run a near perfect season if he wants to get a feature win and/or the points championship

3rd - Morgan McDonald (+1) - Mitchell, MB

Throw a blanket on the top three and Morgan is right there with them. Once again, multiple mistakes throughout the race has kept him out of victory lane.

4th - Brodie Mcgowan (-1) - Kenora, ON

Smooth Smooth Smooth. Brodie has had his share of spins this season, but the driver looks calm, cool and collected when he's focused. Cautions were essentially the reason he was unable to capture the feature win on June 16.

5th - Logan McDonald (+1) - Kenora, ON

Logan had a difficult first week of racing with multiple spin outs during the feature race. He improved on June 16 but still crossed the finish line doing a pirouette.

6th - Steve Redman (+4) - Winnipeg, MB

Steve has launched up the power rankings with back to back feature finishes. He won his heat on week one and has been just outside the top five in both features. If he can keep his nose out of any incidents, he should maintain his ranking

7th - Stan Dueck (New) - New Bothwell, MB

Stan has had excellent heat results but has been all over the place in the features with a great run from 8th to 3rd at opener but a DNF in week two. He is certainly fast, but being able to cross the finish line is essential to move up the ranking.

8th - Darrin Rea (+1) - Kenora, ON

Darrin has yet to make waves on the track yet but moves up a position due to completing both race nights. He tends to pick it up as the season goes on, so he will continue to be one to watch.

9th - Wanda Marshall (-1) - Kenora, ON

Luck has certainly not gone the way Wanda would like. Being bounced around the track, the resulting incidents have let to significant damage forcing her to retire early from week one and struggle to keep up the following week to finish 8th.

10th Jake Mazur (New) - Dryden, ON

Jake Mazur had a good showing week one but engine problems forced him out of week two. He has plenty of experience and will certainly move up the rankings if he is able to repair whatever might be plaguing the car.
