CARTER CLINCHES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AT DACOTAH SPEEDWAY
It was a familiar sight in the WISSOTA Street Stock feature.When the green flag waved, it was a battle for the lead between Jonny Carter and Todd Carter of Lisbon, ND. A series of early cautions regrouped the field but on the restart on lap nine, Jonny Carter pulled away as Todd Carter tried to hold off 2019 track champion, John Weber. Todd Carter cleared Weber and started to reel in the leader, Jonny Carter. As the leaders raced for the lead in lapped traffic, a slow car spun in front of the leaders with a handful of laps to go. On the final restart of the race, Jonny Carter pulled away as Todd Carter had his hands full with Weber once again. Todd Carter held off Weber but could not chase down Jonny Carter. Todd Carter finished a respectable second ahead of John Weber. Kyle Anderson finished fourth while Royce Jawaski held off Shawn Volk at the finish line for fifth place. Jonny Carter led all 20 laps to win the feature and clinch the WISSOTA Street Stock National Championship.
