Flat tire slows Tony Jackson Jr. in Arrowhead Speedway CCSDS run
Tony Jackson Jr. was among 32 talented COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) drivers that made the trip to the state-of-the-art Arrowhead Speedway (Colcord, Oklahoma) on Friday evening for the Green Country 50.
Jackson started the evening strong in his Willard Quarries No. 56 car, claiming the second-quickest time overall in qualifying and winning his heat race on the 1/3-mile clay oval.
He began the 40-lap, $5,000-to-win feature event from the third position and looked poised for a top-five result. However, he suffered a flat tire while running third with just a handful of laps remaining. The tire issue relegated Jackson to an 18th-place finish and continued the team’s difficult stretch of bad luck.
Saturday’s scheduled CCSDS event at Caney Valley Speedway (Caney, Kansas) was rained out.
