Jackson competes in MLRA opener at Lucas Oil Speedway
Friday night found Tony Jackson Jr. in action at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA).
Drawing 48 Late Models, Tony came in sixth in his heat before placing fourth in his B-Main, missing a transfer spot by one car. Relying on a provisional into the opener, Jackson passed eight cars in the 40-lapper to finish 17th.
For the second round of the MLRA Spring Nationals on Saturday, Jackson edged his way into the $10,000-to-win finale with the third-and-final transfer spot in his consolation race. Inching forward two positions in the 40-lap affair, Tony crossed the line in 21st.
