Jackson Jr. dominates B-Mod Blowout at Central Missouri Speedway

Tony Jackson Jr. capitalized on a last-minute decision to race at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg over the weekend, earning a $3,000 B-Modified victory.

Tony dominated the weekend’s events to claim the inaugural Big Bad B-Mod Blowout in the McCowan Racing No. 8 Ozark Motorsports Report/ Rick Lowry Taxidermy/ Wooderson Veterinary Clinic/ Rage Chassis B-Modified.

“We’d planned to be at Tri-City Speedway with the Late Model, but we weren’t able to get the parts to finish assembling the car, so we decided to go Mod racing instead,” Jackson commented. “Thanks to the McCowan family for letting us take their Mod. I had a lot of fun. Thanks to Mike Striegel and his team for loaning us anything and everything we needed but a way to the track. We loaded up in a new hauler and didn’t have time to pack many tools. This is why the racing family is so great, racers helping racers.”

With 32 B-Mods competing in three rounds of heat races, Jackson picked up a 10-lap victory in his first round before passing six cars in his second heat to finish fifth. Storming to a 10-lap win his final round, Tony locked into the pole dash. Outrunning Sturgis Streeter to pick up the $300 prize, Jackson locked into the pole position for the A-Main on Saturday.

After fellow front-row starter Streeter shot out to an early race lead, Jackson tracked him down by the seventh lap to assume command of the top spot. Holding off the field as he navigated through lapped-traffic, Tony sailed to his third win of the season over Cody Brill, Rick Beebe, Jacob Ebert, and Shadren Turner.
