Jason Berg
BRRP 6-3-18
Well it was race day at BRRP tonight and we headed out to the track a little late this evening and learned something important to do before the races. I forgot batteries for the raceceiver and the transponder back at the shop so Marty had to run back to the shop and get the stuff. From now on a checklist is going to be made. :)
This season has been tough running the car we picked up this winter as we have had fuel [problems the last few weeks. ( self induced issue on my end) but after the guys put a different sett of injectors on the car was running great.
The heat race tonight i could not get the car to turn at all so we went from the front row to 5th in a matter of a few laps....I could not get back on the gas at all and if i did i either went off the back stretch or had to work hard to stay off the wall on the front stretch..We made a few adjustments to the car and i also worked on changing how i entered the corners and for the feature the car was running string and handling pretty good....We had the 100 car up front for a few laps and ran top 3 for many laps before driver error on the last few laps dropped the #100 to a 6th place finish. On this car there is a bar we moved on our other car that i kept catching my arm on hampering my ability to turn...But that is already scheduled to go see Shayne Laske and fix that just as he did on the other car.
Marty & Kelly have been working really hard on our other #100 car so that we can hopefully have it ready for next Sundays racing action!
We have some great things in mind for the black car for the remainder of the year so make sure to follow Jason Berg Racing on Facebook and Twitter.
