Third-place finish in Governor's Cup at Talladega Short Track

With 38 Late Models entered, Horton followed up the seventh-fastest lap in his group with a fourth-to-second run in his heat. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in sixth, Austin gained three spots in the 50-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He followed Ashton Winger and Sam Seawright across the line.
