Colt Johnson Racing 2019 Year in Review

WHAT A SEASON!
Going into 2019 Colt Johnson Racing Teams was filled with excitement. New sponsors along with 2 new race cars. For 2019 CJR would like to thank all our sponsors, fans, friends and family for all the support.

Entering 2019 CJR had 2 cars in the race shop (Quater Midget and Mini Outlaw) by summertime the team had grown to 3. CJR added a Bandelero and would be competing in the prestigious Bojangles Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

In the USAC .25 Midget Colt would be a regular in feature events at many National's and Regional's, bringing home several heat race wins and solid finishes. In April at Circuit of the Americas Colt was selected to be on the grid with Josef Newgarden prior to Indycars first event at that facility.

The Mini Outlaw dirt car would see Colt compete in 3 different states at several different tracks, including an indoor event. Taking home several wins and competing for a championship through most of the season.

Finally the US Legends Car International/INEX Bandelero is a much larger car and saw Colt take to it very quickly. In 10 races at Charlotte Motor Speedway Colt finished on the podium 7 times and in his 12th race and first time with the Bandits division Colt won in dominating fashion the USLCI Bandelero Bandit West National Championship at Havasu 95 Speedway to cap off an exciting season.

CJR also made 2 appearances at trade shows for Dynamic Towing Equipment & Manufacturing at the American Towman show in Atlantic City and Florida Tow Show in Orlando.
