Satterlee nets $5,100 Nathan Durboraw Memorial at Hagerstown

Hagerstown Speedway was the scene of the latest win for Gregg Satterlee. He piloted his No. 22 Keyser Manufacturing / Classic Ink / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $5,100 victory on Saturday night in the Nathan Durboraw Memorial.

Satterlee’s Saturday night win marked his ninth of the 2022 campaign.

“We started the weekend second to Rick (Eckert) at Path Valley Speedway. He was just a little better than us, but we picked up things on Saturday night and got the win at Hagerstown (Speedway). As the race went on our car got better and better, and I was able to get past Kyle (Hardy) for the lead late,” Satterlee said. “No racing for us this weekend as one of my good buddies is getting married, but I’m looking forward to heading to Port Royal in two weeks for the Lucas Oil (Late Model Dirt Series) weekend.”

Gregg Satterlee kicked off a doubleheader weekend with the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series with a visit to Path Valley Speedway (Spring Run, Pa.) on Friday for the $3,500-to-win opener.

Earning the third-starting position for the A-Main via a heat race win, Satterlee raced to a runner-up finish in the 30-lapper, which came behind race-long leader Rick Eckert. Jason Covert, Matt Cosner, and Jared Miley completed the Top-5 finishers.

For the Nathan Durboraw Memorial on Saturday evening at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.), Gregg topped the 32-car field in time trials before placing first in his heat.

Tracking down early leader Kyle Hardy on lap 34 of the feature, sixth-starting Satterlee stormed to his ninth win of the season and 17th-career ULMS victory.

He collected $5,100 ahead of Rick Eckert, Hardy, Matt Cosner, and Trever Feathers.

Action is set to resume for Gregg on August 26-27 at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway with a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) doubleheader. Action opens on Friday with twin $5,000-to-win features and concludes on Saturday with a $50,000-to-win finale.
