Runner-up finish in Southern Nationals Rebel Yell at Screven
Saturday saw Chris Ferguson return with Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) for the 24th annual Rebel Yell.
In a field of 27 cars, Ferguson raced his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Rallying after losing ground early in the 53-lap affair, Chris stormed to a runner-up finish. He chased Zack Mitchell to the checkers with Donald McIntosh, Ross Bailes, and Kenny Collins rounding out the top-five.
Sunday’s Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals stop at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
