Top-10 finish in Palmetto State 50 at Lancaster
On Saturday afternoon Chris Ferguson visited Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Palmetto State 50. Drawing 18 cars, Ferguson followed up the fourth fastest qualifying time in his group with a second place finish in his heat behind Zack Mitchell. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Chris faded late in the 50-lapper to finish 10th. (Richard Barnes photo)
For the second round of the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series doubleheader weekend, Chris headed to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday afternoon for the event co-sanctioned with the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series. Drawing 28 cars for the 30th annual Blue-Gray 100, Ferguson secured his spot into the main event with a fourth place finish in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, Chris Ferguson was an early retiree from the 100-lap affair on lap 50.
