Hollerich, Paplow, Larson, Luinenburg and Devries Score IMCA Frostbuster Wins During Jackson Motorplex Season Opener

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (May 5, 2017) – Five drivers ushered in the 2017 season at Jackson Motorplex by visiting Victory Lane on Friday night during the season-opening IMCA Frostbuster.
Mat Hollerich, Dan Paplow, Dustin Larson, Justin Luinenburg and Jay Devries emerged victorious on a night that featured more than 50 competitors at the half-mile oval.
Hollerich held off sixth-starting Kelly Shryock to claim the $1,000-to-win Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA a mods main event. Brandon Beckendorf rounded out the podium with Justin Anderson placing fourth and Denny Anderson ending fifth.
Paplow outlasted Matthew Looft to capture the Bohl’s Small Engine IMCA sport mods A Main. Alex Schubbe finished third, Kyle Steuber was fourth and defending track champion Jason Andrews rallied from 11th to fifth.
Larson held off Stefan Sybesma to win the IMCA stock cars feature with Levi Feltman, Tom Hagedorn and Nate Chukuske rounding out the top five, respectively.
Luinenburg, the defending Fairmont Awards IMCA hobby stocks track champion, powered from eighth to garner the feature triumph. Cory Probst was the runner up with Malik Sampson advancing from ninth to third place. Ben Peterson finished fourth and Dj Clinton was fifth.
Devries maneuvered from fifth to win the IMCA sport compacts main event. Josh Uhl placed second, Kaytee Devries third, Robert Pottratz fourth and Ashlee Kelly fifth.
Jackson Motorplex will host its first sprint car event of the season next Friday, May 12, when the Spring Nationals features 410 Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Store, Heartland Steel RaceSaver 305 Sprints and Heartland Racing Association 360 non-wing sprint cars.
