Fifth-place finish in Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park

With a heat race victory placing him on the front row of his $2,500-to-win preliminary feature, Freeman faded five spots in the 20-lapper to place seventh.

On Saturday, Payton secured his spot into the Coors Light Fall Classic finale with a fourth-to-second run in his heat race. With $12,000 on the line, Freeman raced to a fifth-place finish in the 50-lap affair. He trailed Spencer Hughes, Tyler Erb, David Breazeale, and Kyle Beard to the checkers.
