Flud Achieves Milestone During Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Sooner 600 Week Finale at Creek County Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – SAPULPA, Okla. (June 14, 2020) – Frank Flud and Garrett Benson capped the Mo State Construction Sooner 600 Week presented by Hi-Plains Building Division finale by driving into the Winner’s Circle on Sunday at Creek County Speedway.

Flud won both the Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class main events to surpass 100 career national wins with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division. That is more than three times the total triumphs than any other driver has achieved in the history of the micro sprint series.

The icing on the cake was that Flud was crowned the Stock Non-Wing Sooner 600 Week champion. Jade Avedisian was the Sooner 600 Week champion in both the Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class divisions.

Flud captured the Stock Non-Wing main event – his eighth of the season, fourth in a row and 45th of his career with the series – after starting on the outside of the front row. The win also propelled him into the lead in the championship standings.

Ryan Timms maneuvered from eighth to second place with Cameron Paul hustling from 12th to third. Jason McDougal placed fourth and Colby Sokol charged from 17th to fifth.

McDougal, Harley Hollan and Flud were the heat race winners.

Flud also posted his eighth Winged ‘A’ Class triumph of the season and the 52nd of his career with the series. Jace McIntosh was the runner up with Noah Key, Bryant Wiedeman and Avedisian rounding out the top five, respectively.

McIntosh, Timms, Wiedeman and Sokol each claimed a heat race. Jace Park was the B Main winner.

Benson outlasted Avedisian during the Restricted ‘A’ Class main event to record his sixth trip to Victory Lane this season. Justin Sokol powered from 12th to third. Kamirin Cook was fourth and Ethan Ayars finished fifth.

Cook, Tyler Kuykendall and Ayars garnered heat race victories.

The Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division will take the next month off before resuming competition July 17-18 at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
