Chick finishes 15th in Kansas ARCA run

A much-anticipated trip to her home track yielded a solid result for Mandy Chick on Saturday afternoon as she turned in a top-15 finish in the ARCA Menards Series Tide 150 at Kansas Speedway.

With the slated morning qualifying session rained out at the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval in Kansas City, Kansas, the field was instead set by the quickest times in practice. Chick, who hails from nearby De Soto, turned in a 32.433-second lap at 166.49 mph to start 17th in the 24-car field.

She soon climbed to 15th in her family-owned No. 74 Dynamic Drivelines/FK Rod Ends/Fragola Performance Chevrolet SS and was running 13th at the 100-lap race’s scheduled halfway break.

After restarting the second half of the event in the top dozen, Chick ultimately crossed under the checkered flag in the 15th position.
