Elvis Rankin Grabs INEX Silver States Road Course Bandolero Bandit Championship at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
After a very competitive 8 race series on the road course at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Elvis Rankin was crowned the Bandolero Bandit series champion with 5 feature wins in the Bandit Class.
Racing for Chuck DeGuevara in the 54 - Elvis capped of the series with an overall win in the Bandoleros besting Outlaw class champion RJ Smotherman in series final feature.
After the award ceremony, Elvis said “It was a great series - and I really appreciated the support of my team mates and car team. Chuck gave me great cars for each race - and I learned a great deal during the series. Thanks to everyone - including a group of competitors who required me to be at my very best each time out” .
Elvis is looking forward to his next challenge - which will be running USAC Western Midgets in California beginning in March. “I am hoping I will have an opportunity to come back to the road course here at LVMS to run the Bandolero in the INEX World Championships in October” noted Elvis.
