Schrader Invades Batesville

Ken Schrader rolled into Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) on Thursday evening for the opening round of the seventh annual Race For Hope 71.

With 46 racers entered into the event, Ken raced to a third-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 15th on the starting grid for the feature. He advanced four spots to an 11th-place finish.

Action continued on Friday evening, and Ken hit the ground running with a fourth-to-first run in his heat race to lock into the sixth-starting spot for the night's finale.

Passing one competitor in the 20-lap preliminary feature, Ken finished fifth behind Jacob Hobscheidt, Ashton Wilkey, Brandon Smith, and Zane DeVilbiss.

Via his performances during the preliminary nights, Ken lined up sixth on the starting grid for Saturday's finale. When the final checkered flag dropped on the weekend's action he was credited with an eighth-place finish.
