Jesse Colwell Dominates Tyler Wolf Memorial
Points Race #3 for the Red Bluff Outlaws took place on Sunday, October 30th as the second part of a double header weekend of racing. This was a special one as it marked the 11th Annual Tyler Wolf Memorial at the Red Bluff Outlaws.
In total 40 drivers signed in to compete in the Tyler Wolf Memorial for the Open Class.
The day began with Landon Brooks of Yuba City, CA setting Fast Time for the 6th time in his Career. Brooks turned a lap time of 8.552 seconds to earn the Fast Time Honors in Truck Shop Motors Qualifying behind the wheel of his Factory QRC, Durst Inc. #60L entry.
"It's Jerky" Heat Race #1 saw Palo Cedro, CA driver Casey McClain earn his 32nd career Heat Race Win in his Sal Calderon Racing #02 machine.
"ShopKyleLarson.com" Heat Race #2 saw Chico, CA driver Casey Schmitz pilot his Fogarty Motorsports, Swimming Pool Perfections #6 entry to victory. The Heat Race win was the 29th of his career at Red Bluff.
"L&T Towing, Inc." Heat Race #3 was claimed by Cottonwood, CA driver Jesse Colwell in his Sal Calderon Racing #86j machine. The Heat Race Win was the 33rd of his career at Red Bluff.
"Fast Four Media" Heat Race #4 saw Geyserville, CA Rookie of the Year contender Jennifer Osborne pick up the win in her 4Front Racing Engines, AFEX Graphics #10 entry. The win was the first Heat Race win of her career in the Open Class at RBO.
"SK Construction" Heat Race #5 was claimed by Redding, CA driver Steven Gannon in his own #87 machine. The win was the 49th of his career in Heat Race competition.
The D-Feature was won by Eureka, CA driver Anissa Curtice.
The "Burris Racing" C-Feature was won by Red Bluff, CA driver Carson Sousa.
The "Shasta Realty Group" B-Feature was won by Chico, Ca driver Garrett Brown.
The "Main Street Deli" Trophy Dash was claimed by the #86j of Jesse Colwell. The Dash win was the 6th of Colwell's career at Red Bluff.
The "Pacwood Superior Wood Products" A-Main Event saw Jesse Colwell dominate en route to his 10th Career Win in the Open Class at Red Bluff. His next win would boost him into the Top Ten All-Time in the Open Class at RBO. 2nd Place went to the #87 of Steven Gannon, who has now finished on the podium in back to back events. Finishing 3rd and on the podium for just the second time in his career was the Staci Adams Solar Consultant, LPR #3 of Trace Adams from Cottonwood, CA.
We now take a break in the action for the month of November. We will be back with Points Race #4 & Points Race #5 (Gary Jacob Memorial) on December 3rd & 4th.
