Kocher, Petroff, Baumann, Tocci and Carey Capture Wins at BMP Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Aug. 6, 2017) – Dayne Kocher, Robert Petroff and Kenny Baumann each earned their first triumph of the season at BMP Speedway while Jordan Tocci and Bill Carey returned to Victory Lane on Saturday night.
Kocher became the seventh different winner in WISSOTA midwest modifieds action this season as he capitalized on the pole position to capture the 20-lap A Main. Cody Kuglin placed second with Marvin Gonzales advancing from seventh to third place. Cory Wilder ended fourth and Cal Rossner was fifth.
Dennis Hurd, who entered the night on a two-race winning streak, claimed a heat race along with Kuglin and Wilder.
Petroff charged from eighth to halt Cory Craver’s three-race winning streak in the WISSOTA street stocks division. Dwayne Fowler maneuvered from 11th to a runner-up result with Sam Hoffman, Devin Kenaston and Grant Gary rounding out the top five, respectively.
Bob Gordon, Craver and Rex Feller were the heat race winners.
Baumann became the fifth different IMCA modifieds winner this season. Jeremy Meirhofer powered from sixth to second place. Joey Price placed third with Marty Erivez Jr. fourth and Tracy Wittenberg fifth.
Baumann and Travis Davis each claimed a heat race.
Tocci secured his third triumph of the season in the WISSOTA super stocks class as Jason George, who entered the night with a two-race winning streak, finished second. Meirhofer scored a third-place result with Thomas May placing fourth.
George garnered the lone heat race.
Carey netted his second Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series victory of the season at BMP Speedway. Matthew Dusseault recorded a runner-up result with Tom Watts in third, Hurd fourth and Orgar fifth.
Watts and Dusseault both won heat races.
BMP Speedway will be off next weekend before resuming competition on Aug. 19 featuring WISSOTA late models, IMCA modifieds, WISSOTA midwest modifieds and the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series.
