Hample, Davis, Meirhofer, Kenaston and Lorenz Victorious During BMP Speedway Season Opener

Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (May 9, 2017) – Approximately 50 competitors invaded BMP Speedway last Saturday for the season-opening event, which showcased five different classes of race cars on the 3/8-mile dirt oval.

Kelly Hample, Travis Davis, Jeremy Meirhofer, Devin Kenaston and Rod Lorenz emerged victorious during a night when every feature was won by a driver starting beyond the front row.

Hample, who is the defending WISSOTA late models track champion, maneuvered from fourth to capture the win in the class with Rayce McCord placing second. Ted Hample advanced from seventh to third place with Rob Odegard ending fourth and Dan Henrikson fifth.

Davis also charged from fourth to earn the modifieds main event victory. Kevin Lynn finished in the runner-up position with Chad Bykonen third, Meirhofer fourth and Ty Clemens fifth.

Meirhofer powered from fifth to claim the WISSOTA super stocks feature triumph. Jordan Tucci scored a second-place result with Vance Lorenz third, Taylor Johnson fourth and Thomas May fifth.

Kenaston advanced from third and he held off seventh-starting Robert Petroff for the WISSOTA street stocks win. Grant Gary, Troy Lorenz and Bob Gordon rounded out the top five, respectively.

Rod Lorenz rallied from his sixth starting position to earn the WISSOTA midwest modifieds victory. Cal Rossner placed second, Cory Wilder was third, Dennis Hurd ended fourth and Kenaston wrapped up the top five.

BMP Speedway is scheduled to host WISSOTA late models, WISSOTA street stocks, WISSOTA midwest modifieds, WISSOTA super stocks and the inaugural Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series event this Saturday. The front gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
