Baillie Lowe in #727 on 7-27 Sweeps the Night in Route to First AAS Victory

A late July makeup for All-Star Wars set the stage for America's Best Pro Late Models at the beautiful Rockcastle Speedway in a $4,000 to win battle! Thirty-one All-Stars signed in for battle to chase the money on Saturday night.

Baillie Lowe came out of the gate strong in BHR Fabrication Qualifying picking up his first career series pole at a 14.805. Tommy Bailey was also strong all night turning in the second best time of a 14.851 while Jesse Lowe showed up to battle with a time of 14.921. Another one of the local contingent, Todd Coffman turned the fourth best time at a 14.948 while Trevor Sise set the fifth fastest time of the night at a 14.966.

Baillie would also get the job done in ATC Bolts & Fasteners Fast Six dash picking up the victory over Tommy Bailey and Jesse Lowe. The heats would set the top four transfer to the feature with Jeff Watson taking Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet Heat 1 over Gunner Johnson, Skylar Marlar, and Jordan Hedger. Outside Groove Heat 2 was a thriller with Tim Damron picking up the win the slide job throwing Brandon Hardgrove who battled to the line against his buddy Zach Sise that took third with Joshua Chesney in fourth right on their heels. PPM Racing Products Heat 3 would go to Hayden Cardwell over Ryan Smith, Calvin Carlton, and Keaton Smith. The Dirt Rich TV B-Main would also see four cars transfer in with Glen Hounshell picking up the victory over Steve Stollings, Daniel Dial, and Tyler Hayes, The provisionals on the night went to Logan Walls and Mark Wainwright.

All-Star Wars feature was set and man, was it a good one! It started with 19 laps of caution free racing with Baillie Lowe leading and Tommy Bailey hot in toe for second. Solid racing continue until Keaton Smith's driver shaft broke as he was hovering right around the top ten and caused him to spin right in front of the Throttle Stomper, Steve Stollings. Both cars were retired from the event. Green flag racing resumed with more great battling through the field. A huge caution happened right at the front of the field mixing up the standings some. As Tommy Bailey was reaching the lapped car of Hounshell in turn three his car slowed momentairly leaving Bailey nowhere to go ending his and Trevor Sise's night. Sise has a string of bad luck when running in the top five and has had nothing to show for it. Racing continued and now phonemental racing took place between Lowe, Hicks, Marlar, and Zach Sise as they all battled for the win on the night. Lowe, who had chosen a softer tire and it went away at the end was able to hold on and pick up his first career AAS victory! AJ Hicks would take second with Skylar Marlar taking third. Zach Sise would grab fourth with Jesse Lowe taking fifth. Jeff Watson had a great run with the series taking sixth and "The Gunner Man" Gunner Johnson ran seventh. Hayden Cardwell, Todd Coffman, and Ryan Smith would round out the top ten.
