Steuber and Clinton Achieve First Wins at Jackson Motorplex; Coopman, Larson and Beckendorf Return to Winner’s Circle

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 23, 2016) – There were two new faces in Victory Lane on Saturday at Jackson Motorplex, where Kyle Steuber and D.J. Clinton each won their first race of the season.
Meanwhile, Nate Coopman picked up his ninth win to remain undefeated with Dustin Larson earning his fifth victory and Brandon Beckendorf his fourth of the season at the half-mile oval. Those three drivers lead their classes in the victory column.
Steuber maneuvered from sixth to capture the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA Sport Mods main event. Jason Andrews advanced from 11th to the runner-up position with Lyle Sathoff placing third, Dan Paplow fourth and 16th starting Dustin Wiederhoeft fifth. Paplow is now tied with Matthew Looft for the lead in the championship standings.
Clinton held off seven-time feature winner and points leader Justin Luinenburg, who started 10th, for the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA Hobby Stocks feature victory. Malik Sampson powered from 11th to third place with Ryan Michelson fourth and Drew Bargloff fifth.
Coopman rallied from eighth to garner his track-record ninth straight Boji Bay Water Park IMCA Sport Compacts triumph. Kaytee Devries ended second, Jay Devries third, Neil Forsburg fourth and A.J. Moyott fifth.
Dustin Larson earned the After Hours Graphics & Tees IMCA Stock Cars victory after starting sixth. Points leader Jim Larson was the runner up with Gary Mattison finishing third, Devin Kuehne fourth and Jack Masters fifth.
Beckendorf charged from 11th and executed a last-lap pass to claim the Wilmont Oil IMCA A-Mods win for the fifth time this season. James Slawson advanced from 10th to second place with Roger Nielsen third, Mat Hollerich fourth and Kelly Shryock fifth.
Racing will return to Jackson Motorplex next Friday when the action includes a $20,000-to-win event for the Spirit Lake Silver & Gold NSL 410 Sprint Cars with the National Sprint League along with the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars and the Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars.
