Kilgore, Ambrosius, Schroeder, Boulanger and Bangart Rule Luxemburg Speedway

(Luxemburg, WI)- 152 cars to the 1/3 mile, Clay oval at Luxemburg Speedway on Friday Night. Scott Boulanger was given the opportunity for a huge payday if he would elect to start in the dead last starting spot and win. He did just that and 20 laps later he picked up a $780 pay day.
Cody Schroeder picked up his first career IMCA Sportmod Feature and Heat race wins at Luxemburg Speedway.
Other winners on Friday Night included: Shawn Kilgore (IMCA Modifieds) Brian Ambrosius (IMCA Stockcars) and Shaun Bangart (4 Cylinders.)
Josh Lambert led his first career IMCA Modified Feature and then handed the race over to Eddie Muenster immediately. Muenster would lead without any pressure for the next 14 laps. The one and only caution appeared on lap 15. Shawn Kilgore had worked his way through the field but had only got to the fifth spot. The restart is just what the point leader needed. Kilgore rocketed from fifth to second almost immediately. He was able to plant his right rear tire right up on the cushion and move in for the kill. Kilgore got outside of Muenster on lap 17 and never looked back. He took home his second win of the season with Muenster settling for second. Konnor Wilinski won the battle for third over R.M. Van Pay. Tyler Wilson finished fifth from his 11th starting spot.
Evan Madden was the commander of the IMCA Stockcar ship as he ran up front for the first half of the race. John Heinz ran to the second spot and tracked down the leader. Heinz showed how fast he was as he powered underneath Madden to grab the top spot. Madden turned the leader around bringing out the caution flag with six laps remaining. On the restart, Brian Ambrosius ran hard into turn one to grab the lead from Heinz. Brandon Czarapata and Billy Lemieux came along and make it a three dog race late. The fenders and bumpers were tested over the final few laps with Brian Ambrosius taking home the win. Lemieux moved passed Czarapata on the final lap for second. Shawn Havel hustled to fourth with Rod Snellenberger finishing fifth.
Your best bet to finishing in the top five in the IMCA Sportmod Feature was to start in the back of the Feature. The lone exception was the eventual race winner Cody Schroeder. Cody Schroeder wrestled the lead away from Ryan Lemieux for good on lap six and put his racer on check out mode. Schroeder left the field in the dust for the time being. Chris Budzban, Scott Boyea and J.J. Anderson worked from the back of the field and ran out of time to take a crack at Schroeder. Schroeder picked up his first career Luxemburg Feature and Heat race win in the same night. Budzban started 17th and finished in the second spot as he was right on the leader’s bumper at the checkered flag. Randy Lemieux Jr moved up from his eighth starting spot to finish third. Scott Boyea finished fourth after starting 18th. J.J. Anderson finished fifth after starting 19th.
In a move to excite the fans for the Street Stock Feature, Jerovetz Motorsports Shock Service threw in $500 and Andy Kleczka racing $50 for Scott Boulanger to start 20th on the field. He would get all the coin if he won the event. Boulanger was in go mode at the drop of the green flag. With Paul Ambrosius out front solidly, Boulanger had to work a little harder than the first two weeks. Boulanger would make his way to second halfway through the race and trek down the leader. Boulanger caught him using the top side of the speedway. He would grab the lead with a handful of laps remaining. Ambrosius gave him a battle as he would come back to lead the next lap. The duo put on a side by side clinic as they entered lapped traffic. Boulanger was able to clear the traffic quicker and picked up his third straight win of the season. Ambrosius had a great run to finish second. Shawn Haydon finished third with Dan VanPay and Dean Anhalt rounding out the top five.
Shawn Bangart dominated the 4 Cylinder Feature event. Mike Meier finished second. Matt Brehmer took third after a race long battle with Calvin Stueck. Mike Brehmer finished fifth.
Next Friday Night, May 27th, Advisor Property & Casualty will sponsor the races. 5 divisions go green at 7 p.m. Go to www.luxemburgspeedway.comfor all track information.
