Cade Dillard finishes World of Outlaw season with podium finish at The Dirt Track at Charlotte
On Wednesday afternoon, Cade Dillard kicked off the final weekend of the 2024 World of Outlaw Case Construction Late Model Series season with the annual trip to The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) for the 18th-annual World Finals.
With Wednesday's qualifying sessions interrupted by weather, Dillard finished 14th in the first main event of the week before picking up the pace on Friday evening as he took the checkered flag in his heat race. Cade redrew the pole position for the $15,000-to-win show and led the first 21-laps before giving up the lead. Dillard settled for a runner-up finish behind Bobby Pierce while Mike Marlar completed the podium.
For Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale, Cade was running inside the Top-10 before a late flat tire relegated him to a 24th-place finish.
Dillard secured a fifth-place points finish with the World of Outlaws.
