Friday June 10th was a great night for the Murray County Speedway to resume the racing season after having a weeek off due to weather. The races were sponsored this week by Marthler Chevrolet and Ford out of Worthington. The H.O.T.R.O.D touring series made their first appearance at the speedway for the year.

S&S Electric MCRA Pick-Up’s
Jon Joehnck and Matt Odom lead the field onto the track. As the green flag waves there is a three way battle for the lead with Joehnck, Odom and Jordan Rolling. Odom is able to pull away with the lead. Rolling makes his way around Joehnck for the second place position. Rolling begins to challenge Odom for the lead. Odom is able to hold off for the win with Rolling and Joehnck following close behind.

IMCA Last Chance Auto Parts Sport Compacts
Robert Pottratz and Ryan Westman lead the field to the green flag. Pottratz pulls away with the lead when the green flag waves. Bubba Brown, Tori Groebner, and Westman go three wide through turns 3 and 4 for the second place position. Brown falls back to the fourth place position. Nate Coopman and Neil Forsberg go side by side for the fifth place position. Forsberg pulls away and passes Joe Bunkofske for fourth place. Brown falls back to the back of the pack. Coopman makes his way around Bunkofske as well, and then makes his way around Forsberg for the fourth place. Coopman makes his way around Westman, Groebner and Pottratz to take the lead. Coopman is able to hold off with Pottratz, and Groebner following close behind.

IMCA Bolluyt Trucking Hobby Stocks
Derek Platt and Justin Bolluyt lead the field to the tack. Once the green flag drops Platt gets the early lead. A caution is out so we will have a full restart. Once the green waves again Platt pulls away. Trevor Holm challenges Bolluty for the fourth place position. Justin Luinenberg makes his way around Mark Janssen for fifth place. Platt, Holm, and Bolluyt go three wide for the first place position. Adam Synder and Luinenberg are battling for the fourth place position right behind the leaders. Holm pulls away with the lead. Bolluyt and Platt both drops back. Luinenberg is able to pull away with the second place position. A caution is out for Adam Bruder. Once the green flag drops once again Holm pulls away with the lead. Cory Probst challenges Adam Synder for the third place position. Probst is able to pull away. Janssen makes a pass around Adam Synder. A caution is out for Adam Synder. The caution will be charged on Bolluyt. On the restart Probst and Luinenber battle for the second place position. Holm is able to hold off for the win with Probst, and Luinenberg following close behind.

H.O.T.R.O.D Vintage touring series
Glen Klingenberg and Bryan Mooney lead the field onto the track. As the green flag drops Klingenberg pulls away with the lead. David Holmgren Jr, and Jake Holmgren go side by side for the third place position. Holmgrn Jr pulls away with third. A saftey caution is out as Klingenerg’s window net falls. He will receive his spot back. On the restart Klingenberg pulls away with the lead. Mooney and and Holmgren Jr battle for the second place position. Mark Oftedahl and Holmgren battle for the fourth place position. Holmgren Jr pulls away with the second place position. Oftedahl pulls away and pass Mooney for the third place positon. Holmgren gets side by side in turns one and two with Oftedahl for third place. Oftedahl is able to hold him off. Klindgenbberg is able to hold off for the win with Holmgren Jr and Oftedahl following close behind.

IMCA Sturdavants Northern Sport Mods
Tony Rialson and Danny Myrvold lead the pack to the start. When the green flag drops from the stands Myrvold pulls away with the early lead. Kris Zuhlsdorf makes his way around Brycen Johnson for the fifth place position. Rialson makes his way around Myrvold for the lead. Zuhlsdorf challenges Darren Veen for the fourth place position. A caution is out for Nicholas Johansen. On the restart Rialson pulls away with the early lead. Cole Bents gets side by side with Myrvold for the second place position. Matthew Looft makes his way in fifth place position. Bents pulls away with second place. Rialson is able to hold off for the win with Bents, and Looft following close behind.

IMCA Sign Pro/Car Toyz
Mike Carlson and Levi Feltman lead the field onto the track. Once the green flag drops Feltman pulls away with the lead. Devin Kuehne makes his way into the second place position. Jake Bruns challenges Carlson for third place. Matt Speckman and Kevin DeBaere battle for the fourth place position. Carlson falls to the back. Speckman makes a clean pass around Bruns for the third place position. Dustin Larson and Bruns go side by side for the fourth place position. Bruns drops back to sixth behind DeBaere. A caution is out for Carlson. On the restart Feltman takes the lead. Larson and Kuehne battle for the third place position. Larson is able to pull away with third. Speckman and Feltman go side by side for the lead. Speckman pulls away with that. Larson makes his way into second and challenges Speckman for the win. Larson is able to pull it off for the win with Speckman and DeBaere following close behind.

Next week the races will be sponsored by Miller Sneller. All Boy and Girl Scouts that show up in there uniform will receive free admission. The IMCA Modifieds will be making another stop at the speedway.
