THE BIG SHOW RETURNS TO VICTORY IN MANDAN
In the final feature of the night, it was a three wide battle for the lead between polesitter “Big Show" Jason Wolla, Shawn Strand and Quentin Kinzley in the IMCA Modified feature. Strand grabbed the lead as Wolla and Kinzley battled hard for second. Cautions slowed the pace of the race early. The restarts allowed Marlyn Seidler and Jeremy Keller to find the front. Second place Wolla found some extra speed along the high side of the track and reeled in Strand. They raced side by side until Wolla grabbed the lead with 12 laps to go. A mid-race caution regrouped the field and on the final restart of the night, Keller went from fifth to second. As Wolla started to pull away from the field, Strand and Seidler battled hard for third place. With only a few laps to go, Wolla started catching lapped traffic but it didn’t slow him down. Jason Wolla went on to win over second place Jeremy Keller. Shawn Strand held off Marlyn Seidler for third place as Williston’s Travis "The Darkhorse" Hagen finished fifth.
