Pospisil Wins Ben Nothdurft Memorial While Noteboom, Sathoff, Probst, Meyer and Virkus Net IMCA Victories During Bank Midwest Night at Jackson Motorpl
Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 25, 2018) – Six drivers defeated a stout field and Mother Nature on Wednesday evening during Bank Midwest Night at Jackson Motorplex.
An afternoon shower only delayed the action as 124 entrants invaded the 4/10-mile oval for the Ben Nothdurft Memorial with the Tri-State Late Model Series along with the season opener for IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA sport mods and IMCA sport compacts.
Tad Pospisil maneuvered from fifth to score the Ben Nothdurft Memorial feature triumph after Jay Noteboom, Luke Sathoff, Cory Probst, Josh Meyer and Dustin Virkus each garnered an IMCA victory.
Pospisil, who also charged from fifth to win a heat race, held off Jeff Provinzino with 11th-starting Quentin Myers ending third in the 28-car Tri-State Late Model Series field. Chad Olsen placed fourth and Jordan Heiman rallied from 16th to a fifth-place result.
Blair Nothdurft, Provinzino and Ben Sukup joined Pospisil as heat race winners.
Noteboom captured the IMCA modifieds main event after starting seventh. Don Gerritsen Jr. was the runner up with Tyler Limoges third, 15th-starting Mat Hollerich fourth and Brandon Beckendorf fifth.
Aaron Krohn, Dan Menk, Jason Brees and Josh Rogotzke each won a heat race with Oliver Kollofski claiming the B Main.
Sathoff powered from sixth to win the IMCA stock cars feature. Dustin Larson advanced from eighth to second place with Zachary Foesch, Levi Feltman and Ryan Grochow rounding out the top five, respectively.
Jeff Larson and Dustin Larson were both victorious during heat race competition.
Probst rallied from fifth to win the IMCA hobby stocks feature event. Keeran Sampson charged from seventh to second with Greg Sidles third, 12th-starting Matt Olson fourth and 13th-starting Malik Simpson fifth.
Sampson and Justin Luinenburg picked up heat race wins.
Meyer bested 12th-starting Jared Boumeester to come out on top of the IMCA sport mods A Main. Matthew Looft charged from 11th to third with John Foreman maneuvering from 16th to fourth. Brady Joynt rounded out the top five.
Joynt, Tony Rialson and Kyle Steuber won the heat races.
Virkus captured the IMCA sport compacts main event after starting the race fifth. Bubba Brown ended second with R.J. Esqueda third, Joshua Uhl fourth and Al Lahr fifth.
Uhl and Esqueda were the heat race winners.
Jackson Motorplex will host two more nights of action this week. On Thursday the PRCA Barnes Bull Riding Challenge will be showcased beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 reserved and $10 general admission for adults and $5 for children ages 6-years-old to 12-years-old. Children ages 5-years-old and younger get in free.
The busy week concludes on Friday for Tony Stewart Night presented by ABDO, Eick & Meyers featuring the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and the Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Stores 410 winged sprint cars along with the Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids.
The pits open at 2 p.m. and the grandstands open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are slated for 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
Adult tickets for Tony Stewart Night presented by ABDO, Eick & Meyers are $30 for reserved (rows 11-20) and $28 for general admission (rows 1-10). Students ages 13-years-old to 18-years-old are $17 for reserved and $15 for general admission. Children 6-years-old to 12-years-old are $7 for reserved and $5 for general admission. Children ages 5-years-old and younger get in free. Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for children ages 12-years-old and younger.
