Ninth-place finish in USA 100 at Beckley Motor Speedway
Traveling to his home track of Beckley Motor Speedway (Beckley, W.Va.) on Saturday afternoon, Mike Benedum was one of 24 Southern All Star Series Super Late Models signed in for the USA 100.
Following the third-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Benedum earned a fifth-row starting position in the A-Main after a third-place run in his heat. For the $20,000-to-win main event, Mike fought a rubbered up racetrack which made it difficult to pass in the 100-lap main event. He was scored ninth in the final rundown.
