Fifth-place finish in Clash at the Mag opener

With 37 Late Models on the grounds for the two-day event, Mason laid down the second-fastest time in his group before picking up a heat race victory. Starting the opening night feature in fourth, Oberkramer dropped one spot in the 30-lapper to finish fifth. He trailed Wil Herrington, Cade Dillard, Joseph Joiner, and Josh Putnam to the checkers.

On Saturday, Oberkramer’s third-place finish in his heat positioned him on the sixth row for the $12,000-to-win finale. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Mason gained six spots in the 50-lapper to register a sixth-place outing.

Mason is currently sixth in the latest CCSDS point standings.
