Hail to the King (of Stock Cars)

This past Saturday at 81 Speedway it was a championship night for The HEYGLASSMAN stock cars, and fast racing action in Primal Jerky Mini Stock, Alternative pest management USRA Modifieds, and JLR property management rookie Modifieds.
First up was the Primal Jerky Mini Stocks, “Rocket”Reimer was on the pole, and was briefly challenged by the Flying Mullet Gratton Dalton until his line ran high and dropped back for a few laps until he succumbed to other contact and his damaged car retired to his pit. David Bice was strong in 2nd, and good to see Brett Barber back with a podium finish in 3rd.
Alternative pest management USRA Modifieds took to the racing surface with The 7x of youngster Dillon McCowan on the point paired up on the front row with Brendon Gemmill. On the opening lap the G3 drove to the lead and Dillon followed his line into turn 3 only to jump the cushion and made contact to the wall and exited the track with damage early in the night. That moved the 65 of Hollywood Tyler Davis to the pole, but Gemmill had a great start and took off to an early lead, Tyler kept him in sight and with only ONE caution on the first lap Brendon came up on lap traffic and was held up for a split second giving Tyler a small gap to slide by for the lead. Tyler powered on to another victory, Gemmill 2nd , and Paden Phillips a very good 3rd.
Yeah yeah I know Stock Cars ran 3rd in the race order but I have to save the Best for last…….
So in the JLR Property management Rookie Modifieds Logan Johnson led the field on from the pole to the ( your business here) green flag, Dakota Dale blazed to the lead and was out on the field until the Hoover Mower sales Yellow flag flew realigning the drivers single file for the restart. Wyatt Gaggero was lurking and made a great move to get to the front and did not look back on his was to the scales in Oreilly Auto Parts victory lane, Dakota Dale 2nd, and Alex Cammon for the bronze!!
The Hey Glassman stock cars had 25 cars check in, I need to first say THANK YOU to all of the participants in this division for this season, you guys truly put on the best races night after night, and also was a very fun experience to talk and get to know each one of you!!! Great group of racers and good people!!
The race was led by "new kid on the block" Alex Krogmeier for the first 8 circuits until the wily veterans like Beau Davis, Boone Evans, and Joey Richmond used that experience to get by him and all raced hard for the win. At the end it was Boone Evans in VL, followed by Beau Davis, and the guy that works and works to get that win (will come soon) Joey Richmond 3rd.
Although the race night did not go exactly as planned, the 12C of Clint Smith drove his way up 8 spots to finish 7th in the feature event, which was enough for him to take the Crown and is this years HEYGLASSMAN STOCK CAR CHAMPION!! Clint is the a great racer, great person and we are glad to call you our 81 Speedway Champ!!

Next week we will Crown a Mini Stock Champion, a USRA A-Mod champion, a USRA B-mod champion and Rookie mod champion!!! Be there!!
We also want to thank the safety crew, John Allen, Jason Gorton, Jack, Ginger, Gene, Kim, our family, and all of you for the ongoing support. F.O.E
