Bruening stacks up 10th against World of Outlaws in Prairie Dirt Classic
Kicking off his Prairie Dirt Classic weekend early, Tyler Bruening and the Skyline Motorsports team checked into Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Wednesday afternoon for the $20,000-to-win One for the Road with FloRacing Night in America.
Clocking in 12th-fastest in time trials, Bruening picked up the final transfer spot in his heat race and started 18th in the 50-lap feature where he would finish 14th.
Primed to tackle the Prairie Dirt Classic, Bruening joined the huge 78-car field on Friday evening and qualified sixth-quickest in his stacked group. Starting from the second-row in the fourth $5,000-to-win prelim feature, Tyler rolled to a podium finish behind Jason Feger and Chris Simpson.
Locked into Saturday’s $50,000-to-win main event, Tyler started 12th and made up two spots over the 100-lap feature to record a Top-10 finish in 10th.
