GARTNER GOES BACK-TO-BACK IN MANDAN
Valley City’s Tim Compson led early in the IMCA Stock Car feature. While Compson led, it was a heated battle between Matt Dosch and Jason Meidinger for second. An early caution regrouped the field and on the restart, Dosch slipped into the lead. Dosch would have his hands full with a speedy Scott Gartner. Using the highline around the 3/8th mile, Gartner would fly by Dosch on lap seven and never look back. As the laps wound down, points leader Hunter Domagala slowed worked his way through the field, passing Jason Berg for third and reeling in second place Dosch. As they raced to the checkered flag, Hunter Domagala just narrowly edged Matt Dosch for second. Jason Berg finished fourth while Shawn Strand rounded out the top five. Scott Gartner pulled away from the field to pick up his second consecutive victory in the IMCA Stock Car.
