SEIDLER HANGS ON FOR GOV CUP VICTORY
When the green flag waved in the IMCA Modified feature, it was defending Gov Cup champion, Mark Dahl and Shawn Strand battling for the lead. Strand passed Dahl, bringing Jeremy Keller with him. The leaders started catching lapped traffic quickly as Keller reeled in Strand. While passing a slower car, they made contact leaving Keller spinning on the frontstretch. Keller took his car to the pits, completely changing the complexion of the race and points battle. Marlyn Seidler passed Strand for the lead on the restart. Cautions slowed the pace but Marlyn Seidler held off Shawn Strand to win the feature event. Mark Dahl finished third while Marcus Tomlinson crossed the finish line in fourth. Defending track champion, Quentin Kinzley rounded out the top five.
