HIBDON GOES BACK-TO-BACK FOR IRON MAN 100

Over 30 drivers from the Midwest traveled to Mandan for a chance to win $5000. Defending track champion, Quentin Kinzley, quickly passed pole Jeremy Keller and distanced himself from the rest of the field. His huge lead was erased by an early caution. On the restart, Keller blew by Kinzley to retake the lead. Keller pulled away quickly as Kinzley had his hands full with Brandon Beckendorf and defending Iron Man 100 winner, Kollin Hibdon. Just before the mandatory halfway caution, Hibdon slid into the second position. Teams had five minutes to add fuel and tear offs, any other changes sent drivers tail end. On the restart, Keller picked up where he left off. However, Hibdon stayed with Keller and they battled for the lead in lapped traffic. As they raced for the lead, it allowed third place Beckendorf to close in. With 19 laps to go, Hibdon passed Keller for the lead. Lapped traffic became an issue for the leaders, as it allowed Marlyn Seidler, Shawn Strand and Quentin Kinzley the opportunity to close in on the top three. However when the checkered flag waved, young Kollin Hibdon survived 100 laps to win $5000. Jeremy Keller, who led much of the race, settled for second. Brandon Beckendorf, who had never raced at Dacotah Speedway before, finished third. Marlyn Seidler finished four as Quentin Kinzley made a last race pass to finish fifth ahead of Shawn Strand.
