Kirchoff Sweeps IMCA Modifieds Gunslinger Tour as Tocci, Meirhofer, Kenaston, Craver and Hample Also Win During Busy Saturday Night at BMP Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (June 11, 2017) – Eddie Kirchoff swept the IMCA modifieds Gunslinger Tour presented by Food Services of America doubleheader at BMP Speedway during the weekend.
Kirchoff recorded both victories on Saturday after a rain storm postponed Friday night’s main events one day. Saturday’s show featured seven main events with Kirchoff doubling up. Jordan Tocci, Jeremy Meirhofer, Devin Kenaston, Cory Craver and Kelly Hample also visited Victory Lane.
Kirchoff set himself up well for both IMCA modifieds A Mains as he won the first two rounds of the Gunslinger Tour, which showcases nine races in nine days throughout Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota, from the pole position.
Kody Scholpp finished in the runner-up position with Mike Hansen placing third, Tanner Black fourth and Jason Schierkolk fifth in the first main event.
Scholpp also recorded a runner-up result during the second A Main as Casey Skyberg rounded out the podium. Schierkolk finished fourth and Bill Brack ended fifth.
Tocci and Meirhofer split the WISSOTA super stocks main events.
Tocci won the opening round with Jason George placing second, Vance Lorenz third, Meirhofer fourth and Patrick Lamere fifth.
Meirhofer was victorious during the finale as Jace Lorenz, George, Beau Brown and Fasching rounded out the top five, respectively.
Kenaston and Craver each captured a WISSOTA street stocks A Main.
Kenaston outlasted ninth-starting Robert Petroff to claim the opener. Christopher Harley was third with Bob Gordon fourth and Troy Lorenz fifth.
Craver advanced from seventh to score the win during the finale. Petroff earned a second-place finish with Dwayne Fowler maneuvering from eighth to third. Kenaston was fourth and Rex Feller ended fifth.
Hample scored his second WISSOTA late models triumph of the season after starting sixth. Kirchoff maneuvered from ninth to second place with Rayce McCord third, Kinzer McCord fourth and Chris Dunn fifth.
BMP Speedway will return to action next Friday and Saturday for the Harvey Ostermiller Special featuring the NSA Series sprint cars, WISSOTA super stocks, WISSOTA street stocks and WISSOTA midwest modifieds.
