Taylor takes 8th-place finish in return to action at Southern Oklahoma
After suffering a shoulder injury over the summer, Jeff Taylor returned to Modified action on Friday and Saturday at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma).
On Friday, Taylor was one of 41 IMCA Modified competitors at the the 3/8-mile track for the 19th annual Jordan Page Memorial Winter Nationals. He finished second and sixth in a pair of heat races that evening.
The next night, with 43 Modifieds on the property, Taylor transferred to the main event with a third-place result in his B-Feature.
He started the 25-lap, $2,500-to-win finale from 20th on the grid and advanced 12 positions to register a solid eighth-place finish.
