Jeff Taylor visits Cococah for Turkey Classic
Friday night found Jeff Taylor in action at Cocopah Speedway (Somerton, Ariz.) aboard his Kansas City Outlaws No. 5 Modified for the two-day Turkey Classic.
In a field of 29 IMCA Modifieds, Taylor’s fifth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the ninth row for the opening night feature. Battling a top-dominant track and his setup, Jeff inched forward two spots to finish 15th.
Salvaging a fifth-place finish in his heat on Saturday after drawing the tail again, Jeff locked into the 17th-starting position for the finale. Advancing through the field eight spots in the 30-lap affair, Taylor reeled in a 12th-place finish.
