LAUDENSCHLAGER LANDS IN DACOTAH SPEEDWAY VICTORY LANE
Robby Rosselli grabbed the early lead in the IMCA Sport Mod feature on Night 2 of the Iron Man 100. Erik Laudenschlager, who started sixth, wasted no time going to the front as he challenged Rosselli for the lead. They briefly raced side by side until Laudenschlager slipped by to take the lead on lap five. Rosselli then fell into the clutches of third place Luke Krogh. Krogh passed Rosselli for second and set his sights on the leader, Laudenschlager. The battle for the lead was heating up as the two drivers were running side by side when a mechanical failure on Krogh’s car left him sitting on the frontstretch with eight laps to go. On the restart, Laudenschlager pulled away as Rosselli and Philip Keller battled for second. They raced door to door for several laps until Keller slipped by with five laps to go. When the checkered flag waved, Philip Keller finished second ahead of Robby Rosselli. Brady Bjella finished fourth while Cole Hanshew, who spun out early in the race, rebounded to finish fifth while Erik Laudenschlager took home the victory.
