Here we go

The 2017 racing season is officially gonna start for us. We are as ready as we can be. Car isn't quite complete, still have some decals coming for the car as far as sponsors and special people and we will get it all finished very soon. Really happy with the job thirty-two designs did for me, couple of great guys. Cant thank my crew enough for all the extra help over the last few weeks. I wouldn't be ready if it wasn't for you guys. Really great to be back with you guys as well as Layne, Calleen and my family. My mindset feels just right as we begin this huge under taking of racing a mod. It can be pretty intimidating if you think about the caliber of people I will be racing but then I just remember, in each and every class I have raced, they have all been full of great talent. I just have to treat each race as my own and do the best I can and the rest will be fine. I truly look forward to all that I will be learning. Its gonna be a hell of a ride.
Made an app for a sponsorship deal on a real sweet trailer, they built a heck of trailer and they were looking for a grass roots racer, I thought, huh, that's me. Made the application and submitted everything they wanted and damn, they had over 600 apps, they drew the 1st 25 names the other day and we weren't in the 25 and I was a little bummed, but then I looked at the 25 and there were a couple guys who would be grass roots, trying to get to the track with whatever they have and have a ball but they also picked a bunch who clearly have some big racing. I got to thinking, the 1st problem we are gonna have is, I'm a dirt track racer, we get dirty and so does the car and when we win, we don't go on a podium, we jump on top of our car and have a hell of a good time. Some of this stuff, puts way more pressure on ya than is necessary so it is disappointing and was going to be an incredible opportunity for my sponsors as well but its probably a blessing as well. This team will probably always be considered a grass roots racing team and I'm just fine with that.
Thanks again to everyone that has gotten me to this point and we are gonna try and live video at the Abilene track so stay tuned and wish us luck, Double A
