The Year Of No Plan

Been a while for an update so we are due. Been focusing on the Sport Mod and even though I am my worse critic, the progress in the new class hasnt been all that bad, we made a surprise appearance to Beatrice Speedway last month and picked up the A feature win and if you know me even a little, you know I love that place so that was huge for me. My focus has always been on racing 1st, have had to make the adult decision to stop that, was given a generous offer for the job by Jamie and I owe it to him, and (Edgar), lol, to be there and earn their respect and trust so racing has been pushed back and its been just fine. Trying to relearn and not drive the sport mod like the hobby stock has been my biggest hurdle and much more to learning the setup for me than ever before. I have been hard on her and she has not been pleased so after my last race at Boone, I knew it was time to park it and not just band aid it like I had been doing and put her aside until I could afford to get it back to where it needed to be. I knew right where a race ready car was so it made it much easier. Really appreciate Johnny Saathoff for my Sport mod support and agreeing to let the JetStrong come to Iowa. My Mom and step dad brought my hobby out to me and they, as well as some of my other great sponsors and a new sponsor as well, got things going to get my sport mod back into shape. Getting a new body next week and a new wrap afterwards, (Thanks Kiley Densberger for the help in making that happen quickly). I look forward to racing the sport mod again very soon. Went to Marshalltown with the JetStrong car and got the win, next night, we went to Hamilton County and got 3rd, and last night due to some nudges from many, including Jacob Ducky Best, went to Corning to race for my 1st time. Really fun track and had a really good time and was especially pleased to have Brock and Trenten come and help me out from back home. All 3 nights, I parked the car at the end of the night and felt I had ran a good race. Have and always will believe the hobby stock class has some of the best drivers in it. Moving has been a change, some good, some not so good, I miss all my family and friends from home but ever so slowly, I am making some friends here and I am thankful for that and its equally special when Laynes Mom can bring him to the races for me so we can be together. Racing the hobby again made me realize again why Dad started racing and then myself as well. Wins are great but Dad always said, "Anyone with money in their pocket can buy whatever they want but few can build it themselves" and thats what our racing has always been, thats why you wont see crates in our cars and we do as much ourselves as we can. Satisfaction and pride are things you can only get yourself. I guarantee last night when my Dad won at Eagle Racewway, he wasnt thinking, yea, I won another cardboard check, it was knowing he had done the work and everything fell into place as was I when I finished 2nd last night, trust me, I knew what I had to do to win last night, I wasnt willing to do that cause 2nd still was great for where I am right now. I owe so much to my Dad for my success and he is so deserving to have Scat, Icon, EQ and all the other engine component people behind him, hes earned it!! People say whats your plans and honestly, there isnt one and for the 1st time in my racing, no points racing has been a blast and I think we are still showing what our cars can do and ALL my sponsors are behind me in this direction so Im a lucky guy. So, again, thank you everyone for all your continued support and My Race Pass has some new drivers cards done for us and should be here soon as well as the tshirts on the website and we are working hard to get the fan decal deal back on track and I apologize for the delay in that. Stay tune for the new wrap reveal and have a great week!! AA
