Dominant Peterson Sweeps Abe Lincoln Memorial at US 30 Speedway

MILFORD, Neb. (09/16/24) – Devyn Peterson pulled off the clean sweep on Saturday night with a triumphant victory in the Abe Lincoln Memorial at US 30 Speedway aboard his Speedee Mart / Nebraska811 / DAWS Trucking Inc. No. 5 Slider by Leiting Motorsports Modified.
The flawless outing for the Milford, Neb., racer commenced on Friday with a pair of heat race wins before dominating the 25-lap feature on Saturday night.
Peterson claimed a $2,015 winner’s payday for his second victory of the 2024 campaign.
“Man, what a weekend,” Peterson said. “Big thanks to the Lincoln family for putting this race on and the awesome track tonight. This Slider by Leiting Motorsports Modified was bad fast when we unloaded yesterday and it was the same tonight. Also have to shout-out all my awesome sponsors for their support this year.”
The 28th annual Abe Lincoln Memorial kicked off for Peterson on Friday night at US 30 Speedway (Columbus, Neb.) with a pair of preliminaries on Friday setting the stage for features on Saturday.
After rocketing from sixth-to-first in his first heat race, Peterson locked onto the pole for Saturday’s main event with a heat victory in the second round.
In another impressive performance on Saturday, Devyn set sail on the opening lap of the feature and ran away with the dominating 25-lap victory, his second win of the 2024 campaign.
Peterson banked the $2,015 top prize ahead of Robbie Thome, Justin Klynsma, Justin Svoboda, and Cole Wayman.

Peterson now shifts his focus to the 32nd annual Tiny Lund & Brandon Saltzman Memorial this weekend at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, IA).
Action kicks off on Friday with a $1,000-to-win IMCA Northern SportMods preliminary feature followed by Saturday’s finale, which pays $2,000 to the winner.
