Race day at NGQMA

Will had a great day of racing on Saturday, even after a DNF in Light 160. He started the race day by winning the heat race in Sr. Honda. After inverting the top six places in the Sr. Honda A main race, he started in 6th position. During this 40 lap race, Will fell back to 8th place after a couple of laps. However, he began to steadily work his way back toward the front and was in 5th position with 23 laps to go. As Will was going for a pass, the 3rd and 4th place cars got together and his car was hit sending him to the pit area. After quick repairs and a restarting spot in the rear of the field, he quickly worked his way back to a 6th place finish. In his Light 160 heat race, he started in 4th place and held his position for the remainder of the race. In the light 160 A main race, he started on the outside front row. After falling back to the 4th position and a few laps remaining, he was able to work his way back into 2nd place. While trying to chase down the leader, a lap car spun out of turn two and Will was unable to avoid him. Unfortunatley, the right front suspension of the race car was damaged and he was unable to finish the race. Will is taking this next weekend off, but is looking forward to his next race on April 2nd at NGQMA in Cumming.
