TIEGEN SCORES IN INEX LEGEND THRILLER AT DELLS

Wisconsin Dells WI-Jacob Tiegen scores the win after an incredible finish for the GNL INEX Legends feature on Performance Parts Supply night at the races. Dirk Henry and Jon Lemke brought the stacked 20 car field of legends to the stripe. Per the usual with the Legends the action was fast and furious throughout the field right from the jump. Lemke and Henry would seesaw battle at the front for the first five laps of the 25 lap event. Lemke would take the advantage but would be immediately under siege from Dillon Schwanbeck. Schwanbeck would gain the lead as Jacob Tiegen would get to the front along with Ayrton Brockhouse. A three way dogfight for the lead would culminate with Brockhouse seeing the daylight of the lead with the laps ticking away. Colin Stocker the night’s fast qualifier worked his way diligently to the front and found himself on the rear bumper of the young Brockhouse as the white flag flew. Stocker gained the inside on the entry to turn 1 as Brockhouse did his best to hold him down…unfortunately the two would make contact at the exit of the corner sending them both into the spin cycle down the backstretch. The white flag flew over the field therefor per the DRP rule book the next flag ends the race awarding the third place running driver Jacob Tiegen the win. Dirk Henry finished a strong second followed by Jon Lemke, Tyler Ledbetter and Dillon Schwanbeck. Colin Stocker was the fastest in GNL INEX Legends qualifying with a lap of 15.452. The GNL INEX Legends return to action at Dells Raceway Park May 20th as part of the R&R Doors night at the races.
