Pair of podium finishes with Iron-Man Series at Boyd's and Tazewell
To kick off his Independence Day weekend, Vic Hill visited Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) on Friday afternoon for the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series-sanctioned Stars and Stripes 40.
After topping the 26-car field in time trials, Hill raced to a second-place finish in the 40-lap feature. He followed Donald McIntosh across the line with Mack McCarter rounding out the podium.
Back in action on Sunday, Vic traveled to Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the Firecracker 40. With his time trial effort placing him on the fourth row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Hill gained five spots in the 40-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He trailed Ricky Weiss and Michael Chilton to the checkers.
