Riley Hickman Competes in NeSmith Winter Shootout at Cochran

Entering the NeSmith RockAuto.com Winter Shootout sanctioned weekend, Riley Hickman visited Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) on Friday night for the two-day event. In a field of 37 cars, Hickman timed in seventh in his qualifying group sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3 into the opening night feature, Riley locked his spot with a 10-lap consolation victory. Starting in 11th, Riley held his spot for all 40-laps recording an 11th place finish.

Starting Saturday off by laying down the fastest time overall in his qualifying group, Hickman locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win finale. Bringing home a podium finish, Riley was running in 1st the majority of the race but slipped back to 2nd late in the caution-plagued A-Main scoring a runner-up spot behind Kyle Bronson with Devin Dixon, Mark Whitener, and Andy Picklesimer rounding out the Top 5.
