Riley Hickman Follows SAS Series to Thunderhill; Wins in Crate

After the weather ruined his plans on Friday night, Riley Hickman headed to Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Southern All Stars Series sanctioned event. In a field of 19 Super Late Models, Hickman timed in fourth fastest overall in qualifying positioning him on the second row for the feature. With $4,000 on the line, Riley improved one spot in the 40-lap feature posting a 3rd place finish behind Brad Skinner and Dane Dacus with Austin Horton and David Seibers rounding out the Top 5.

During the same night in the Crate Late Model division, Hickman followed up the fastest time overall in qualifying with a heat race win locking him on the front row for the feature. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Riley charged to his second win of the season over Justin Maxwell, Steven Holcomb, Cody Martin, and Mike Henn. (Cherry Photography)
