Riley Hickman Lands Podium Finish at Talladega

It was back to business for Riley Hickman over the weekend as the team made a last minute decision to enter the 24th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) Heath Lawson Photo
Fifty-three Super Late Models converged on the 1/3 mile oval for the $6,000-to-win program, and Hickman started his outing by qualifying second in his group during time trials on Saturday. As a result he would start second in his heat race, where he finished to lock into the seventh starting spot for the 50 lap finale on Sunday afternoon.

Hickman battle amongst the top five throughout much of the event on Sunday as daytime conditions would make passing difficult. Riley used a late race restart to slip past Donald McIntosh and secure a third place finish behind race winner, Tim Roszell and William Thomas. McIntosh and Billy Ogle Jr. rounded out the top five finishers.
