Tyler Erb 10th in Baltes Classic at Eldora Speedway
Tyler Erb’s deemed “Fun Tour” resumed on Friday evening with a trip to 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the 47th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic weekend.
With 20 XR Super Series entries on the grounds for Friday’s preliminary, Erb outran pole-starting Ethan Dotson in his heat race to pick up the eight-lap victory. Gunning for a $15,000 payday in the feature, Tyler set the pace early before making contact with the frontstretch wall on lap 25, ending his night.
On Saturday, Tyler raced his way into the $50,047-to-win Yankee Dirt Track Classic finale with a runner-up result in his heat race. Rebounding after a lap-53 flat dropped him to the tail, Erb salvaged a ninth-place finish in the 60-lap affair.
Erb’s Labor Day weekend concluded on Sunday with a visit to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 16th annual Baltes Classic. Drawing a massive field of 65 Super Late Models for the event serving as a tune-up for the upcoming World 100 weekend, Tyler followed up a fourth-to-second heat showing with a 10th-place finish in the 30-lap feature.
