AJ Diemel and Ashley Anderson would start to move forward putting down smooth and consistent laps on the low side of the speedway both drivers would eventually move past Prochnow and start to charge towards the leader. Diemel would close in and start to eye up Anvelink. As they worked through lap traffic Anvelink and Diemel went to work around one lap car in particular, Diemel went high Anvelink went low and he would make slight contact with a lap car, which would eventually cause Anvelink to spin on his own and bring out the yellow.
Diemel would resume the race as the leader And drive off to the win, followed by Anderson, Prochnow, Jim Carlson and James Giossi.

Cory Mahder would take the lead early in the modified division With Danny Thomas, looking to the outside for the lead.
