Hammer follows World of Outlaws to Mississippi Thunder

Drawing 38 cars for the second annual Dairyland Showdown, Hammer slipped back to a ninth-place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Slated to start near the tail, Kyle scratched from the 10-lapper and elected to use a provisional. Gaining three spots in the 40-lap affair, Hammer logged a 20th-place finish.
For another $10,000-to-win A-Main on Friday, Kyle came in seventh in his heat before placing fourth in his B-Main. Pulling off early in the feature, Hammer was credited with a 25th-place outing.
On Saturday, Hammer came in second-fastest in his group but followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a fifth-place finish in his B-Main. Earning a provisional into the $50,000-to-win Dairyland Showdown, Kyle passed nine cars in the 75-lapper to finish 19th.
Kyle is eighth in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
